Backyard Scoreboards was founded in 2004 for the purpose of creating products that enhance sporting games that are typically played in informal venues. In addition to aiding the players, our products are designed to draw spectators into the excitement of the game. Making the game a fun event for players and spectators helps to spawn future interest and participation of family members and friends.
Since then, we have become the World leaders in the design and manufacturing of portable scoreboards for backyard games. We are the originator of the ScoreTower, and have been granted several patents and trademarks on our scoring devices.
Our "Rewards" for the hard work has been two-fold:
- meeting and communicating with the thousands of customers, retailers, and dealers that use our products. We are grateful to all of you!
- working with the mentally challenged individuals at Butler County MRDD in Middletown, Ohio. We have some very hard days in this business, but these problems pale in comparison to the everyday challenges faced by those that are less fortunate than us. One quick visit through our production area evokes a flurry of emotions as we see people that are not able to walk, or see, or think like we do. Yet, they are dedicated, hard-working, and most of all . . . happy! Happy . . . that they are able to contribute to something as simple as building a product that someone else will enjoy in their backyard or on their next picnic. The hugs and smiles we get on each visit make even the most annoying business issues disappear. We are very fortunate to be able to work with them.
